After High School he went to work in the coal mine but decided that was not what he wanted to do! He then went on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the Buffalo, New York Mission and always enjoyed sharing the gospel whenever he could. He had a love for Jesus Christ and his gospel.

After returning home from his mission he was in the National Guard for a brief time before he was hired by Wolverine Worldwide, the manufacturer's of Hush Puppy Shoes. He was a natural salesman and loved it. He had the territory of Utah and Arizona. He then met the love of his life Carolyn at one of his clients stores, Wolves Sporting goods in Salt Lake City. She worked as a clerk for them. After only knowing each other for two weeks they eloped to Las Vegas, Nevada and were married by the justice of the peace on April 6, 1961. Later they went through the Manti Temple. They were married 59 years until Carolyn passed away from Alzheimer's in January 2021. He was lost without her and missed her terribly.

A few years later he quit Hush Puppies and opened a Janitorial Supply business with his brother Larry in Ogden, Utah. After a few years he then decided to be a Paramedic in Logan, Utah. That job turned into being a full-time Fireman. In another couple of years he decided to move to San Ramon, Californian and start a carpet cleaning business. He was successful in all of his endeavors.

He was then approached to return to Hush Puppies as the salesman for New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma. He then Moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was the top salesman globally for five years in a row. After living in Albuquerque for 11 years, they were homesick for Utah and decided the time had come to move back to Utah and sell for himself which he did for forty years, until two months before his passing. He would get a twinkle in his eye whenever he had a new product to sell and show you. It was his passion and he was good at it.

He was an example of trying news things if you're not happy. You won't know unless you try. He also showed the example of how you can talk to anyone and maybe make a new friend.

He is survived by children Jan Arterburn (Rich), LeeAnn Turpin (Fred) Terry Clark, Todd Clark (Tara) 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.

Preceded in death by parents Alvin and Edris Clark, brother Larry Clark, nieces Michelle, Kimberly, wife Carolyn Clark, daughter Margaret Elizabeth, and son Justin Clark, and granddaughter Amie Issom.

The family would like to thank Beacon Crest Senior Living and staff for taking such great care of Edward.
