Dorothy Kate Stevens Barney

March 6, 1931 - February 4, 2022

Dorothy Barney our loving mom, grandma and great grandma returned to our loving heavenly father after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Dorothy was born March 6, 1931 to Wilford and Ruby Stevens and grew up in Redmond Utah with her 6 brothers and sisters.

Dorothy loved to baton twhirl and play soft ball in her younger days. Dorothy and her family also loved going camping and fishing.

Dorothy, Her daughter and best friend for over 70 years, Lavala Myer loved to go to Wendover and play the slots and go to the senior center to play bingo.

She loved spending time with her family singing and whistling to them. She also loved music and would try dancing with everyone.

Dorothy had a wonderful sense of humor and kept everyone laughing.

Dorothy worked at O.C. Tanner where she was a supervisor and loved every one she worked with, and missed them when she retired.

Thanks for all the love, laughs, and memories.

A special thanks to her daughter Sandra for taking such wonderful care of her the last several years of her life.

Survived by her 3 children, Sandra (Frank Cooke) Peterson, Brent (Sylvia) Barney, Cathy (Dick) Marshall.
