Dorothy Morris, 90, of Murray, Utah, returned home for a long awaited, joyous reunion with her husband, Leslie Morris.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully in her bed on April 21, 2022.

Dorothy was born on February 6, 1932 to George Wake and Ada Davies in Liverpool, England. She was the third of 10 children.

Dorothy married Leslie Graham Morris on September 2, 1950. They were married in Liverpool, England. In 1958, Dorothy and her family traveled the Atlantic Ocean by ship to the United States. Dorothy and Leslie settled in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a loving mother to four boys, a grandmother to 11, a great-grandmother to 8, and a great-great-grandmother to 3 grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Rick (Karen) Morris, David (Mary) Morris, John Morris and Paul (Virginia) Morris; Also, her brother, George Wake and her sister Linda Conneely. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Morris, Grandson, Mick, her parents, five sisters and two brothers.

Dorothy was a dedicated wife and mother. She worked at Albertson’s and Picadilly for over 25 years. She was a strong, independent woman. Dorothy lived for a good cup of tea, bingo, a trip to Wendover and a Liverpool soccer game; especially when they won. She was an avid reader, averaging two to three books a week. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with family. She had a contagious laugh and an incredible memory. She will be greatly missed.

A viewing will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 12:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah 84123. Interment is to follow at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, same address.
