“Hey it’s good to be back home again”

Our beloved Father, husband, brother and friend passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday morning December 31st, 2023

Donnie was born on January 12th, 1955.  He shared a birthday with his mom and is now reunited with her and his father (Pat and Don)

Donnie graduated from Kearns High School, worked as a fabricator and construction at times. Donnie married his sweetheart Lanna and later had their son Jeremy. He spent most of his adult life at L-3 communications where he made hundreds of friends. L-3 was a true passion of his and he was very proud to be able to work on projects that helped our Soldiers safely return home. Donnie lived his life with a ton of passion for hunting, shooting and fishing with his family, father and brothers. Donnie was an amazing person and friend to so many people and touched so many people’s lives. Anyone who knew Donnie felt his passion for shooting, hunting and just life in general. He spent many amazing years with his family enjoying the outdoors and living out his passions. Donnie spent many days on the mountain or by his favorite lakes with his son Jeremy and his brothers and father, sharing these moments with his family was his most favorite thing to do. He also made friends everywhere he went.

Our amazing brother, father and husband and most importantly our best friend will be missed dearly, however he is now back home again with his mother and father.

We love you Donnie.

Donnie is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Lanna and son Jeremy (Lindsey). His brothers Gary (Lori), John (Lisa) Clinton and Shane (Tammy). There will be no services at this time. We will be having a celebration of life in the spring. We would also like to thank U of U Hospital, IMC and IMC hospice for their care and treatment of Donnie.

If you want it boiled down to cowboy logic, talk to Donnie. Thanks for being an all around good guy and running off a little on us.

Lanna and Jeremy,

We were so sorry to hear that Donnie passed. It was always great when we would run into him at Harmons and be able to catch up on family news. We hope that all of the beautiful memories of him bring you both comfort and peace.

I just heard today 1/4/24 about Donnie. I remember the day Donnie started for L3 ( it's wasn't called that way back then, it was in building "G". I found Donnie to be a very interesting guy and over the years built a great friendship that lasted a lifetime. I miss working with him, his smile, his sense of humor! L3 was never the same without him. This world will never be the same without him! I hope that now he is in peace, healthy and happy! Donnie, I miss hearing your hunting stories. Love ya man!!! Scott

Donnie was a great friend and co-worker to my wife Jan and I. It was an honor for us to have worked with him for so many years. He was kind, funny and always willing to help. If he had a bad day and got a little cranky, it didn’t last. We have lots of great memories and I send our condolences to his family. He will be greatly missed.

Donnie was such a great co-worker and friend. He made his daily rounds to see all of his friends. He made things happen at work to assure all products got delivered. He was a fierce competitor in representing at all Corporate Games shooting events to assure the Gold medal. He was truly caring of others and was quick to downplay his own health issues. Because he was such a loyal employee, I didn't know if the day would ever come that he would truly retire even though his health continued to worsen. The world and more places of employment need more Donnie's.

There was no one like Donnie. He was truly a one-of-a-kind human with a heart big enough to hold love for all of his family and friends. I was lucky to build a strong bond with Donnie while he worked at L-3 and my life was truly better for it. The world is a little less bright without him here but I know he’s watching over everyone just like he always did in life. Love you with all my heart Donnie.
