Donna Rae Hiatt Baum, 85, of Riverton, Utah, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, from Covid-19 complications. Donna was born June 20, 1935, in Bingham, Utah. She went to be with her husband in God’s paradise.
She was a devout member of the Latter-day Saints 2nd Ward in Riverton. She loved camping and hunting and enjoyed doing temple service. She would always want to be in the temple or in the mountains. She loved being a grandma and spending time with family and friends, particularly her grandchildren!
She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Lee Hiatt and Catherine O’Donnell; husband, Delmo Raleigh Baum; son, Larry D. Baum, and daughter, Leeann White; grandson, Dana Baum; daughter-in-law, Mary Baum; and granddaughter, Rachael Baum. She is survived by Sharon Barcelon, Del E. Baum, two sisters, Juanita Burton and Vilate Silver, 16 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Mom, Sister, Grandma Baum, you will always be loved, greatly missed, and never forgotten.
A viewing will be held for family and close friends at noon on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 S 900 E, Murray, UT 84120. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 S Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT 84123. Due to Covid-19 precautions, the service will be livestreamed via Zoom. Donna was a friend as well as a wonderful sister. We had many good times together including vacations, temple tours, shopping, visiting each other, playing cards, etc.
I think she was the best grandmother I ever knew next to my own mother. I will miss her for the rest of my life.
