Donna Jeanne Citerio “DJ”, 96, passed away at home on May 5, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on October 2, 1927, in Salt Lake City, UT, she led a remarkable life. Donna worked during WWII, later becoming a cosmetologist and florist.
In 1953, she married Alfred (Fred) Citerio, sharing 71 years of love and raising a large family. Donna was an avid bowler, known for impeccable hair, Wendover trips, love of sweets, and anything glittery and gold. She cherished family gatherings, where her infectious spirit and humor-filled any room. Her greatest joy was being with her family.
She is survived by the love of her life, Fred - a man selfless in his love and care for her; daughters Sandy (Jim) Wardell, Chris Evans, Jill (Phil) Pulver, Jan (Rick) Cowles, Terri (Travis) Dalley, and Sherri (Lyle) West; 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Known affectionately as "Grandma Donna," whose presence brought joy to every gathering. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Grace Jewell.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. You may visit with the family at a viewing on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary. There will also be a viewing prior to services on Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:45 AM.

The family would also like to thank Dr. Towner and the staff at the Salt Lake Clinic as well as the doctors and staff at Salt Lake Cancer Center for their support and care of our beloved Donna.
