Donnie passed away August 23rd 2021 at IMC Hospital in Murray, Utah at age 75. He had a love for traveling, seeing many countries around the world and made many friends along the way. His home away from home was Thailand where he spent a lot of his time. He was an adventurer, countless summers were spent boating and camping with his children and grandchildren. Hunting and fishing were some of his favorite past times as well. He was a very talented man, welder by trade, he built houses, painted cars and could fix just about anything.

He was born on December 18th, 1945 in Provo, Utah. The son of Morris Peterson and Erma (Bingham) Bird.

Donnie went to Springville High School then served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Upon his return he worked as an iron worker and eventually retired from Geneva Steel.

He married Jackie Prestwich where they raised 3 wonderful children together in Springville, they later divorced, but remained lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Erma Bingham Bird and Morris Peterson, his sister Midge Street (Reed) and Brother Joe Peterson.

He is survived by his children. Daughter Tayah Moore, Son Corey Peterson (Michelle), Daughter Trudy Terzo (Vito) Siblings Linda Pierce, Gloria Livingston (Bob), Jimmy Peterson, 11 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

A small graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery (1997 S. 400 E.) in Springville September 13, at 11:00 AM.
