You would never see Nelly without his brother, and closet friend Yogi (David). They were inseparable.

During his service met and married his sweetheart Myrna LaRae Cook in the Salt Lake Temple June 22, 1955, together they had 5 children. Neldon told everyone how blessed he was to be married 67 years to Myrna.

Neldon worked in farming, the dairy business, construction, with his brother David doing drywall sheetrock for many years building houses in Utah, and surrounding states. They put their drywall skills to building many Churches. He changed work as people often due for health, economy and need to support family.

Neldon work for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a Custodian.  He especially liked working with his wife, Myrna, brother David, and sister-in-law, Mary. He worked at same time for the Jordan School District, as a School Bus Driver every day excited what he did. He received a 15 year and then 20-year distinguished service award from Jordan District upon retirement, having a perfect safety record.

Retired Neldon and Myrna enjoyed traveling with Dave and Mary across the country seeing how beautiful the country is. He enjoyed doing things with family and grandchildren, never missing any of the children or grandchildren’s sports or events as long as they were given information to attend.

Nellie loved life, lived it to the fullest, enjoyed working hard and playing hard. He was a member of the Salt Lake Sheriff’s Posse, a service and riding club performing in rodeos, parades, and western competitions. Winning many awards. One year invited to the Rose Bowl parade in California. He enjoyed hunting, reading western paperback books, gospel books, doing family genealogy and temple work. He was a great handyman. He had pride in his pioneer and ancestorial heritage. He got excited sharing many stories and experiences from his life and family.

Most of all he was ready for easy living sitting beside his wife spending time helping her and watching tv with her and reading. He Loved her greatly and served her needs. Mom will miss him most, however she known’s and we too, he has filled his mission in life, and we are a Forever Family, we will see Dad again.  This because of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Neldon is a strong faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many Leader positions and working with the youth, which he enjoyed the most. He loved to do home teaching (ministering) and helping neighbors and friends. Neldon is truly a disciple of Christ.
