Donald was always telling stories and talking about living in Coalville, Utah as a young boy. We would often go to Coalville where he would show us where he lived, went to school, and worked.

He was drafted into the Army and served during the Korean War. He became a sergeant just before leaving the war for blowing an enemy depot. His commanding officer thought he did such a great job that he promoted him to sergeant.

He was a devoted dad and grandpa. He always enjoyed having children around him and he lived with his son and daughter-in-law, one grandson and his wife, and five great-grandchildren. They all called him, Grandpa Grandpa.

Donald had 6 children, 18 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
