Don was born on February 26, 1942, in Evanston, Wyoming to Ruth E. Francis and Percy H. Francis and raised in Henefer, Utah. He spent most of his days as a proud truck driver and later was a school crossing guard. He met Sherrie Durrant on New Year’s Eve of 1972 and they were married six months later on June 15th, 1973, in Lindon, Utah.
Don is survived by his wife: Sherrie D. Francis, children: Scott (Joy), Troy (Christee), Blaine (Diane), Brodie (Wendee), brothers: Bob (Karen) and Ken (Nancy), 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and his pooch Lily pie.
Aside from Don’s long-haul trucking, he was also a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and dedicated much of his time and love to his work for the church. He spent much of his time reading scriptures, listening to old western music, taking care of his family, walking his dog, and writing. Don had a warm and inviting smile that everyone adored. He was a listener and always saw the best in people. Most of all, he was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.
