Donald Ray Allen, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend, returned home to his Heavenly Father on January 12, 2024. Don was born on March 23, 1946, to Elden William and Verna Winter in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was raised in Salt Lake City, where he attended school. Don graduated from Murray High School in 1964.

Following High School, he voluntarily served his country in the US Army as a radio/teletype operator for two consecutive tours during the Vietnam War.

They were sealed a year later in the Jordan River temple.

After marrying Linda, Don got a job with the Bureau of Land Management, where he worked for 25+ years as an equipment operator and fleet manager before retiring. During this time, Don and Linda raised their three sons, Travis, Trent, and Trevor, in Magna, Utah.

Later in his life, Don served in several Church callings, including Ward Financial Clerk, High Priest Group Secretary, and the Young Men’s Presidency. Don had many friends in the two wards he attended while living in Magna, including the Lakeridge 14th Ward and Lakeridge 2nd Ward.

Don is survived by his children Travis (Amanda), Trent (Morgan Sites), Trevor (Jamie), Rick, David, Maurisa, Rob, and Melinda. Allen Family,

I'm sorry to hear of your loss of your Dad. I'm sure your Mom was so happy to see him plus many others.

I will always remember you Dad one Christmas ward party and he went to give me a kiss on the cheek and I surprised when I turned my head to see who was there and he kissed right on the lips his face went bright Red and mine also just a funny time...

He was always working and always doing chores. He was also proud of you kids and his family. God Bless you at this time. The funeral was wonderful I'm sure he's smiling down at you! Love you,
