Diane Elizabeth Johnson Allsop, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend passed away after a courageous two-year battle with Lung Cancer. She passed away peacefully in her home on April 2, 2021. She was 67 years old.

Diane was born on November 5, 1953, in Astoria, Oregon at the U.S. Naval Hospital. Her parents are Irvin Crandall Johnson and Juanita Teresa Caldwell Johnson. Her Father was finishing a twenty-year career with the U.S. Navy at the time of her birth. Diane also has two older sisters and two younger brothers.

Diane spent her early years in Blackfoot, Idaho. She attended grade school and church in the Groveland area. When she was 8 years old, she was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Diane graduated from Blackfoot High School with the class of 1972. She was also a 4-year Seminary graduate. Diane attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho for one year. Diane married Clifford Fairchild, her high school sweetheart, on May 25, 1973. They had 6 children and after 18 years of marriage they later divorced in November 1991. They remained good friends until Cliff passed away on February 17, 2004.

Diane met Michael Reed Allsop and they were married on February 14, 1992. Together they blended 12 children. After nearly 24 years together, Reed passed away on November 8, 2014. Diane worked for Steve Christensen for 12 years at Tina’s Hallmark in his Ogden and Bountiful stores, a

job she loved! She also worked at Clearfield High School in the kitchen as a cook and server until her lung cancer diagnosis on July 29, 2019.

Diane was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held a number of callings over the years. Her faith was a great source of comfort and strength for her during her cancer battle.

Diane loved her family and family gatherings! She always said her children were her greatest accomplishment and she appreciated all the love and support they and their partners offered her when she became widowed and during her cancer journey. Her grandchildren held a very special place in her heart and she had pictures of all 26 of them displayed in her home. Diane enjoyed reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, listening to music-especially the oldies, playing the piano, watching and attending Utah Jazz games, decorating her home for the holidays, traveling, and going on

camping trips with her family. She cherished the time she spent with her family.

Diane is preceded in death by: Husbands; Clifford Fairchild and Michael Reed Allsop, Parents; Irvin and Juanita Johnson, Step-Son Benjamin Allsop, Parents in Law; Clarence and Antonia Fairchild, and Lewis and Dorothy Allsop, Brothers-in-Law Arnold Peart, Charles Allsop, and Bart Bailey, Sister-in-Law Eileen Allsop, Nephew Jared Peart. Diane is survived by: her children; Angie (James) Evans, Amy Pierce, Michael (Sarah “CJ”) Fairchild,

Daniel (Stacey) Fairchild, Cameron (Elizabeth) Fairchild, Teresa Fairchild (Mike Ellis), Step-children; Brandon (Jody) Allsop, Daniel (Shannon) Allsop, Lisa Allsop-James (Jimmy Shelley), Stephanie (Thomas) Hatrick, Meagan Allsop (Dwaine Still). 23 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren. Her siblings: Pat Bailey, Shery (Ernie) Bahem, Gary (Rosie) Johnson, and Greg (Jenny) Johnson. Siblings in law: Bill (Vivian)

Allsop, Ann Peart, Edna (Lynn) Henke.

There will be a viewing held on Friday, April 9, from 6-8 p.m. at the Ward Meeting House Diane attended. It is located at 1245 S 1175 E, Clearfield, UT 84015. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 10, at 11:00 a.m., at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary located at 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84092. There will be a viewing prior to the funeral services from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m.
