Delores was born November 10, 1932 in Payson, UT where she lived and attended school until she moved to the “Big City” (Salt Lake City) and worked the next 43 years as an accountant at Mountain Bell/U.S. West.

She married her sweetheart, Merlin R. Croft on December 12, 1968. They were blessed with 4 daughters. Delores was a hard working and loving mom. Often getting up before dawn to prepare lunches, walk to catch the bus, work full-time, and then return home to be a devoted full-time mom. She was creative and giving. Sewing matching outfits for her young girls and finding fun, creative ways to distribute Christmas gifts to her neighbors.

She was devoted to her Faith and her “eternal” calling as Church Librarian. She performed many acts of service including sewing and crocheting baby blankets to donate to the hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

She was well loved and will be truly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband Merlin and daughter Merianne. She is survived by her daughters; DeNae, Deann (Dave Hammel), and Denice. Her grandchildren; Jordon (Marissa), Kirita, Hailey, Dallin and Katie. And great-grandchildren; Briley, and Grey.

I just loved sweet, kind, caring Aunt Delores. She was so nice to everyone. She always had that beautiful smile on her face. I never heard her say a bad thing about anyone. She was so friendly.

I know your whole family will miss her a lot. I am sorry that she is gone. Please take care!! We love you.

I worked with Delores when we were at Mt. Bell. She is truly one of the sweetest, generous people I have ever known. One of our co-workers was getting married and Delores made my bridesmaid dress (which turned out so beautiful) and did it all at no cost to me. She was always happy and just brightened your day the minute you saw her. I'm blessed to have known her.

Thank you DeNae for this beautiful tribute to our mother. None were created in her equal. Always putting others needs before herself. She lived true to her faith in everything she did. She never placed judgement in all our flaws simply loved each of us as her daughters. She will be missed beyond words.

Mom we will "Speak Kind words to each other at home or where we may be"

Love you mom until we meet again.
