In 2015 the Utah Honor Flight Foundation invited Roy to be one of the Veterans they took to visit Washington D.C. After returning from the trip to Washington D.C. , Roy and his family would spend the next 7 years visiting as many WW2 memorials as possible as well as multiple trips to Pearl Harbor.

The family would like to ask that in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Utah Honor Flight.
