David Timothy "Tim" O'Connor

Oct 17, 1957 May 4, 2025

David Timothy "Tim" O'Connor passed away on May 4th, 2025.

He was born on October 17th, 1957, in College Point, New York, to David Timothy O’Connor Sr. and Mary Jane Piereth.

He spent his early years by the pool or the ocean and helping his mom in the garden. His Mother was an amazing cook and true foodie—

he still had the Cuisinart food processor she gave him.

Tim is survived by his Son, Hunter O’Connor (28), his Sister Claudia (Bob) Stewart, his Brother Jim O’Connor. He was preceded in death by his Parents.

Tim’s proudest role—the one that lit him up from the inside out—was being a Father. For him, being a Dad wasn’t just a title; it was a calling. He wore it with unmatched pride and made sure everyone knew it.

He held an associate degree in Criminal Justice and later pursued his culinary passion at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in New York.

A Master in the kitchen, Tim worked as Head Chef at D.B. Cooper’s and later as a seafood salesman for Royal Alaskan Seafood, eventually retiring after over 25 years of service as the top salesman for Ocean Beauty Seafood.

My Dad was dearly loved by lifelong friends for his eccentric personality, his encyclopedic knowledge of fish, and his deep love for music- traits that endeared him to all who knew him.

He was thrifty and never threw anything away, showing his sentimentality in unconventional ways. It was an honor getting to know him closely, and if he opened up to you, consider yourself lucky. Words fail to express just how good of a Dad he was.

A celebration of life will be held on: Saturday, July 26th, at 10:00 am at Southeast Christian Church 1818 e Vine Street, Murray, Utah

All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tim’s life
