David Ray Sundin was born July 1, 1941, to Florence Pieternella Matthews and Raymond France Sundin. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. David graduated from West High School in 1959. He joined the Utah Air National Guard and retired after 22 years of service. David received his mission call to the Netherlands in 1961, where he spent three birthdays, and returned home in 1963. While on his mission, he was called to be a Branch President.

When David returned, he met and married DiAnn Alexander. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. He and his Wife, DiAnn, have four children: Raymond Matthew Sundin, Debra Ann Prince, Celeste Reed, and David Christian Sundin. He had the privilege of helping raise four grandchildren: Choryn Glad, Jypsie Flake, Amaia Willden, and Kojan Sundin. He has 23 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren.

David worked for over 40 years for the Driver License Division of the Sate of Utah. While also working several other jobs to put his children on missions, he received his Associates Degree from Dixie College, and then a Bachelors Degree from Southern Utah University.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 9:00 – 9:45 am, followed by the funeral at 10:00 am, at the Santa Clara Heights Chapel, 3815 Rachel Drive, Santa Clara, Utah.

Interment will take place immediately following the funeral at the Santa Clara City Cemetery, Ancestor Way, Santa Clara, Utah.
