David Ellis Edmonds

May 19, 1956 Jul 21, 2023

David Ellis Edmonds passed away after his short battle with bladder cancer on July 21, 2023, in Murray, Utah. He was born on May 19, 1956, in Dundas, Virginia, to Willie Edward Alexander and Helen Marie Rohwer Edmonds. At the young age of 10, he and his family moved to Brigham City, Utah in 1956. In his high school years, he went on an adventure to Denver, Colorado, but later came back to finish school. He is a graduate of Box Elder High School.

He married his sweetheart, Dorothy Jean Parker in December 1966 and together they had their beautiful children: Jodie and John.

Dave was a talented man with many interests. Dave loved cars! He also enjoyed music - especially blue grass music. Stamp collecting, machining, river rafting, motorcycle traveling, and dirt biking were some of his other passions.

Dave loved motorcycle traveling – in particular, he took a trip on his Gold Wing bike to Alaska and back. Dave was skilled in-home repairs – one time, while doing repair work on his home, he fell off of his roof and shattered both of his feet! Dave recovery from that was a journey in itself.

He frequently was found building new structures or tinkering with things around his home. He is most proud of his “Garage-ma-haul” that he built! His personal oasis to work on his true passion – cars.

His motivation and energy were untouchable. He was always working on SOMETHING!

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy P Edmonds, his daughter, Jodie (Richard) Urry, his son, John (Abbie) Edmonds, his grandchildren: Brodie, Kiera, Kiley, Kelsey, Dylan, great-grandchildren: Alizae and Andie Jean. Dave’s siblings: Herbert Edmonds, Dennis Edmonds, Roger Edmonds, Charles Edmonds, and Marie Morris, and a tremendous amount of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Edward Alexander Edmonds and Helen Marie Edmonds, silbings: Estelle Rossi, Sterling Edmonds, Maxie Edmonds, Elaine Cook, Kathleen Roush, Christine Brady.
