Daniel Wayne Fakatou died at the age of 44 peacefully at home with family on October 28, 2021, in Holladay, Utah.

He was born on July 28, 1977 in Murray, Utah to Rodney Makihele and Diana Adamson Fakatou.

Throughout his life Daniel had a love for artwork and a creative mind when it came to his drawings and art pieces. He enjoyed working with his hands as a stone mason and putting some of his artistic attributes into his stonework. He enjoyed being outdoors, loved social settings and interacting with family and friends and had a special place in his heart for all animals. Daniel had a deep love for music and enjoyed all genres.

He is survived by His parents Rodney Makihele and Diana Adamson Fakatou, his sister Melinda Heleine (Thomas Liahi) Filipe, nieces, and nephews: Heleine Valanisia, Jayden Douglas, Ammon Jaron, Thomas Dion, Tianna Leila Talamasina, and Kingston Ezra Fakatou Filipe. As well as many uncles, Aunts, cousins and special friend Laura and her children.

He was preceded in death by Paternal Grandparents: Samuela Vai‘inga‘i-Moana and Helene Hedwig Sanft Fakatou. Maternal Grandparents: David William and Arlene C. Phillips Adamson.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 2:00 PM with a viewing held one-hour prior beginning at 1:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 S Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.
