Dana Lindsay

Oct 12, 1938 Apr 23, 2022

Our beloved Mom, Grandma, and Granny passed away in her home on April 23, 2022, surrounded by her children.

Dana was born on October 12, 1938 to Ervin and LaRue Jeppson in Union Utah.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Trent (Mildred), Mike (Carol), Mark (Orma Jean), her sisters, Juanita (Ernest) Gourley, Gail (Wendle) Duncan, Arlene (Roy) Ashby, and Christine Jeppson.  And her living sisters, Jane (Blaine) Astle, Susanne (Tom) Burke, and Delores (Boyd) Poulsen.

In December of 1961 she married her sweetheart, Harvey C. Gaster in the Salt Lake Temple. Harvey preceded her in death June 1965.

After many years, she found love again and married Willard Leroy Lindsay in 1972. Willard, also preceded her in death in 2005.

She is survived by her children Lorna Asay, Terry (Tom) O’Brien and William “Bill” (Janet) Lindsay.

One of her greatest accomplishments was raising her children and her grandchildren.  Alex (Chloe) Asay, Carrera Asay, Lance O’Brien, Logan (Taylor) O’Brien, Landon O’Brien, Tatum O’Brien, Jacob McCombs, Morgan McCombs and Emmaline Lindsay.  Great Grandchildren Alexandra Asay, Finnegan O’Brien and Harvey O’Brien.

She worked many years for Sears.  And later in life at Becton Dickinson as a quality control inspector.

She loved reading and love sharing her book collection with everyone who wanted to borrow a book. She had enjoyed many family trips in the spring to Zion, in the fall to Capital Reef, and the many family reunions.  She went to Yellowstone, Green River (where she loved their watermelon), Georgia, and her son’s wedding in California with family.  She loved reading at Heber cabin and watch the family play at Bear Lake.

She loved cooking and baking bread. Many of us will always remember her cornbread at Bear Lake, home baked Christmas trees, rice krispy’s, brownies, homemade rolls and brown sugar bacon. And most importantly REAL BUTTER.

Those left behind will truly miss her. But those who preceded her in death, welcomed her home.

Services will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 700 E 7500 S, Midvale at noon, Friday April 29, 2022.
