Dale C. Price

May 24, 1952 Mar 30, 2026

Dale C. Price, age 73, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, in Bountiful, Utah, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born May 24, 1952, in Vernal, Utah, to Shirley A. Price and Afton Powell. He was raised on their farm, where he learned the value of hard work and developed a love of animals, especially his K-9 friends. He graduated from Uintah High School in 1970 and later attended Utah State University and LDS Business College.

On March 21, 1975, Dale married Susan Price in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and love.

A devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dale faithfully served a two-year mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and later served as a member of the bishopric. His faith guided his life and was a lasting example to those around him.

Dale loved the outdoors and was an avid trout fisherman. He also loved to travel, especially road trips built around his favorite sports teams. Sports were one of his great joys, whether playing church softball, golfing, or cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, St. Louis Cardinals, Oklahoma Sooners, and Utah State Aggies.

Some of Dale’s happiest moments came in later years, when his family helped make several dreams on his bucket list come true. Together, they were able to take him to see the Pittsburgh Steelers, St. Louis Cardinals, Oklahoma Sooners, and Pittsburgh Penguins in person—experiences that meant the world to him and became treasured memories for the entire family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley A. Price and Afton Powell, and his beloved wife, Susan Price.

He is survived by his five children, Sharalyn, Shane, Shawn (Leslie), Shannon (Dave), and Samuel; his six grandchildren, Sophia, Caleb, McKinley, Josiah, Sawyer, and Theodore; and his three siblings, Lorin Price, Shirlene Casaday, Carolyn Batty, and his brother-in-law Harold S. Myers.

Dale will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 10, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse, 8485 South 1000 East, Sandy, Utah 84094. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with services following from noon to 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery, 3115 Bengal Boulevard, Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121.
