Died on: March 14, 2022 in Murray, Utah

Born on August, 8 1934. In Orem Utah to Rulon and Kathleen West

She married Stanley Joshua Adams on June 26, 1953 (later divorced).

List of Hobbies and Accomplishments

Constance was the oldest of four daughters. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1952 and attended Central Utah Vocational School for Practical Nursing on scholarship where she graduated in September of 1953 and obtained her license in October of the same year. She worked at the old St Marks Hospital on 3rd West from 1953 to 1972. She worked in all wards on the night shift coming home to get her kids off to school. She was Charge Nurse of the Psychiatric unit on the night shift from 1969 to 1972. In September of 1972, she joined the Salt Lake County Detox unit where she worked until it closed. She went on to work at the Salt Lake County Jail. During this time, she also initiated the medical procedures for the Oxbow nursing staff. She retired at the age of 62.

During her 25 years of retirement, she loved to travel. She visited 37 states and the District of Columbia. She traveled outside the country to Australia, Mexico, Canada and the Bahamas. She traveled mostly with family but also with her bowling league and her close friend Gayna. She loved musicals, singing and playing the piano. She was the Patsy Cline of our family.

Connie always said that her proudest accomplishments were her six children and she was a single parent for over 50 years. She was on championship teams in both bowling and billiard leagues. In addition, Connie loved word games such as Jumble and Scrabble. Her love of words came out in her quick wit. She also loved numbers which contributed to her expertise in playing cards. Her wit and love of numbers is best exemplified by her response to her son that she was “not only his logical mom but his biological mom” and appropriate that she returned to heaven on Pi Day (3.14.2022).

She is survived by Terisa (Rusty) Ford, Maureen Monger, Laureen (Ken) Hahn, Cynthia Adams, Jonathan Adams and Corinna (Paul) Medina and her two sisters Kathleen (Ron) Winningham and Jeanne (Alan) Thornton and eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, her sister Rulene and the father of her children.
