Connie Jo Newcomb

Jan 14, 1944 Apr 28, 2024

Connie was born on 14 January 1944 in Heber City, Utah. She peacefully went home to a loving Heavenly Father on 28 April 2024. Connie was 80 years old. Her parents were Charles T. Newcomb and Donna Butters Newcomb.

Connie grew up in Murray and attended Murray High School. She lived in West Valley for over 50 years. The last seven years she lived in the family home in Murray. Connie Jo loved her Savior. She often spoke about God and how she hoped we would pray for her. Connie loved her animals. Her heart was always so very caring and sweet to all animals. She loved and cared for Sweet Pea, a small Chihuahua, who joined her in the next life, 24 hours after Connie's passing. She always had one or two dogs and often had cats also. Connie was the poster child of someone who was a "home body." She did not travel outside Utah borders but a very few times. Connie worked as a painter in the cabinet making industry for many years. After leaving the industry she worked in the school lunch program at a few elementary schools. She truly loved working at the schools and Connie really enjoyed the children and the interaction and love they shared with her. Connie loved going out to eat, watching Westerns on television and sitting outside in the sun. Her love for her family was so very precious to her. She was a beloved part of all the families she shared her love with. Connie Jo will be so missed.

She is survived by her brother Rick (Arlene) Newcomb of Saratoga Springs. Their children, Connie's nieces and nephews, Amy, Lindy, Julie, Carrie, Jeremy, Timothy and Andy, John's girls, Becky, Tara, and Kate and their families who all share in the love and caring and missing for their sweet Aunt Connie. Connie is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Pamela Ann Newcomb and her brother John Newcomb.

Her other special family; Connie's truest friend (who they shared the same first and middle name) Connie Rodriguez (Roberto) of Salt Lake City, Tina (Jay) Dipo of Salt Lake City, their children, Chantel (Andrew) Herrera and Natalie Dipo, also of Salt Lake City.
