Cody grew up in Lincoln County, Nevada during his younger childhood and then moved to Eureka, Utah where he spend his older childhood and teenage years.

Cody graduated from Tintic High School in 2001 and later went on to Tulsa Welding School in Florida and graduated in 2006 with his Welding certification.

Cody was a hard worker and put his blood, sweat and tears into working and helping his family and friends any time he could.

Cody loved working on cars even though he had no patience and would easily get angry he always had a positive outlook on whatever he was trying to fix. Even if Cody didn't know how to fix or do something or had never done it before he didn't get deterred. He loved doing new things because that's how he learned so much and became as smart as he was.

Cody was an amazing father to his 6 wonderful children. He was very hands on and present in each and every one of their lives. The kids all felt comfortable with Cody and the trust between each one of the kids and Cody was so strong that the kids felt comfortable going to Cody for even their deepest and darkest of secrets, thoughts, situations and problems. Cody would even help dye the girls' hair and was constantly surprising them with hair, skin and nail products. But not only did Cody have a softer, more sensitive side; he also had the tough manly man side to him and could be rough and tough playing sports with the boys.

Fishing was Cody's all-time favorite passion, hobby and go to anytime he had even a small amount of free time. He was so happy and so truly proud every time one of the kids or Lindsey would catch a fish. However, Cody usually got jipped on fishing because he was always busy rebaiting everyone's poles and unhooking everyone else's fish. But just to go to the lake or river and relax with the people Cody loved most is what made Cody happy, it's what he lived for.

Cody was so smart, funny, romantic, tough and just the whole package. And those that were lucky enough to have him in their life were beyond blessed.

Cody left behind the love of his life, his forever, Lindsey as well as their 6 wonderful children Tristan (16), Hurlley (14), Evellet (12), Kylynn (12), Gatllin (9) and Kaidan (8).

Cody may not have biologically been the father to 3 of the kids, but the role he took on and stepped into when they were 8, 4 and 5 months old definitely made a lasting impression on them for life. Cody taught the kids everything they It costs $0 to be a decen human being! know. He raised them. He gave them rules and consequences but made sure they knew without a doubt how much he loved them and how much they meant to him. Cody may not have had a good mentor, role model or example of how a good, healthy parent/child relationship should be, but even still, he was a pro when it came to being a great parent, mentor, role model, example and trustworthy friend to all 6 of the kids.

As most people know, Cody and Lindsey's relationship was a roller coaster, but it's wasn't because they didn't love each other, but rather because of Cody's insecurities and feeling like he wasn't good enough and thinking that Lindsey could do better. If only he would have stopped worrying so much and listened to Lindsey; he would have known that he was so much more of a man, husband and father than anyone could ever hope, dream or wish for. If he would have listened he would have known that to Lindsey and the kids he was beyond perfect and didn't need to feel bad or insecure or worry about not being good enough in any way, shape or form.

Cody is loved deeply and will forever be missed.
