Clifford Dale Clements
“Reunited at Last”
Clifford Dale Clements, 85, beloved dad, grandpa, and great-”grandpapa” passed peacefully on August 31, 2022 in Midvale, Utah. Lovingly greeted by his Heavenly Father and the treasure of his life, wife, Sandy.
Dale was born to Clifford G. Clements and Maurine Bybee Clements on October 4, 1936 in Idaho Falls. He was the 4th of 6 children. Brother, Robert Eugene and four sisters: Bonnie Maxine Lowe, Laura Elizabeth Lish, Alice Faye Monson and Sherry Lee Kirtley.
At 17, Dale joined the United States Air Force. Serving from 1954 until 1958. Early on, Dale managed a Western Auto store in Portland, Oregon. His passion for sales led him to selling cookware which he enjoyed for over 20 years. Dale had a desire for finding his niche in life. He loved to invent and pursue ideas. Whether selling cars, bronze mementos, water purifiers or insurance, his passion for talking to people was evident.
In 1958 he married Deanna Gaye Bybee and, along with Deanna’s daughter Lori, were blessed with three children. Chad Dale, Chris James (Nora) and Lisa Joye Khuni. After 11 years of marriage they divorced.
In 1969 Dale and Cassandra “Sandy” Lee Hazard were married. Along with Sandy’s children Cindy Pearson (Ron) and Brent Vanhoy, they welcomed 3 children. Clifford Dereck (Tracy), a “Celestial” daughter Carrie Ellen, and Jared Lee (Meghan).
He was blessed with 23 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He loved family gatherings and felt a house without children playing was too quiet. On holidays he and Sandy would prepare mountains of food, with extra mashed potatoes for Chad, and everyone was invited. At these gatherings, Dale enjoyed telling stories of his treasured memories about his childhood on the turkey farm, his sister Sherry shooting his BB gun, his children growing up, or his beautiful moments with Sandy. He also didn’t hesitate to tell a lady in the kitchen not to cook on “high”. Now, we can hold our treasured memories about him. Dale will truly be missed by all that knew him.
