Claudia Wright Magee

Early on April 19, 2023, Claudia passed away peacefully at the age of 81, in her daughter’s loving arms; to be reunited with her Heavenly Father and adoring husband. Claudia was born in Ogden, Utah on January 27, 1942, to Merton Wright and Norma Standing Wright.

Claudia served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for nearly 20 years in the addiction recovery program working within the prison system. She volunteered for the Salt Lake Rape Crisis Center, helping many women in their time of need.

After the death of her husband, she returned to school and found her passion for accounting. She graduated from Westminster College at the top of her class with a master’s degree.

She was also a proud distributor of Neo-Life vitamins and health products for many years.

Claudia is survived by her two children: Gregory Scott (Deanna Lynn) and Lorie Ann, and her four siblings: Gayle Bonnesen, Harold Wright, Joyce Nicoll, and Barbara Overholt. As well as six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Merton and Norma Wright; her husband, Robert Ray Magee; and granddaughter, Zoë Kuykendal.

A funeral service for Claudia will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 2pm at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will take place one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday April 25, 2023, at 3 pm starting at Larkin Mortuary and process to Salt Lake City Cemetery.
