Claudette Allison Larsen died August 23, 2026, in Ivins, Utah. She was born at home on December 17, 1934, in Salt Lake City to Norman Carl and Bergetta Nelson Larsen.

She was from a family of 11 children. Her nine brothers and sisters were a great support to her, and they all had many great times together including vacations to Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Hawaii, California, Wyoming and having parties, breakfasts and dinners together.

Claudette graduated from Davis High School in 1953. After raising her 6 children, she attended Weber State University for one year working on a degree in Logistics. Later, transferred to the University of Utah where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology in 2000 at age 65. In 2010, she received her Master’s Degree in Counseling and Mental health from University of Phoenix at age 75. She stopped working at 85 years young.

She worked at Red Mountain Elementary and Vista Charter School in the Ivins area from 2002 to 2020 in Special Education. Claudette worked at the University of Utah in Continuing Education as an Executive Secretary. Other previous employment was at Unisys in Salt Lake City as a Logistics Specialist. She was the Chapter Chairman in 1982-83 for the Salt Lake Chapter of the Society of Logistic Engineers (SOLE) and held other positions of leadership in that organization. She belonged to and served as secretary in 1985 for the National Property Management Association (NPMA).

She worked hard to support her six children, working sometimes at two jobs. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a great joy to her, and she enjoyed and loved each one of them.

She volunteered a great deal throughout her life including being a volunteer probation officer for the Ogden, Utah court. She also volunteered at the Salt Lake County Detention Center. After moving to Ivins, Utah in 2001, she volunteered in the community including the Ivins Police station and participating in the Ivins Fire Council committee and in 2013 became chairman of the Fire Council to update the Ivins Fire Plan, which she enjoyed very much.

Claudette was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many positions in her ward, stake, and region. She was a Missionary Tour Guide on Temple Square in Salt Lake City from 1986 to 1989, full-time Proselyting Missionary in Washington D.C. in 1989-90 which was an outstanding experience, Stake Missionary in Bountiful and Locator Missionary in Salt Lake City.

Claudette is survived by her children: CK Wilson (Ken), JaNell Brown, Sonia Pierce (Ernie), Conny Everett, Martin Everett (Hideko), and Marv Everett (Paula); 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and her brother Paul.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Braden Brown; grandson, Scott Trevor Brown; and her siblings Carl, Ralph, Norman, Scott, Larry, Gordon, Margene Reid and Norma Wiggill.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 27, from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. held at the Ivins 2nd Ward, 625 E Center St., Ivins, Utah. Funeral service will follow starting at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place on Tuesday, September 1, at 11:00 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn, 3401 Highland Dr, Millcreek, Utah.
