Cheri Lee Griffiths Erickson ~ We love you to infinity and beyond ~ 1966 - 2022
Our wonderful wife, mother and grandmother returned to her loving Heavenly Father, March 18, 2022 after a very short but intense battle with cancer. She passed peacefully with her husband and family by her side.
On July 11, 1966 after many years of trying to complete their family, Cheri was born to Darlene and Fred Griffiths. Cheri loved her parents entirely and had a very special place in her heart for her three siblings. She grew up in Kearns, UT and attended Kearns High School. She was a worthy and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints her entire life and shared her testimony of the gospel every chance she got. She held many church callings but her favorite by far was, primary chorister.
Cheri had many favorite things but you couldn’t look at a ladybug, owl, bottle of Diet Dr. Pepper or a skein of yarn without thinking of her. She loved anything crafty especially knitting, crocheting and paint by diamonds. She had so much talent and loved to share it with anyone she could. Cuddling up with 12 pillows and a good book was her idea of a nearly perfect day. She always loved the holidays and spending hours decorating while listening to music with her family.
Cheri met her husband, David Erickson in January of 1991 and they were married May 10, 1991, in the Salt Lake Temple. They had their first child in April 1992, and adored being a mother so much she went on to have four more. Cheri’s kids were her "most valued A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take.
treasures". She would have done anything in the world to protect and prove her love for them. She was blessed with a new kind of love after each addition of her 6 beautiful grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father Shirley Darlene and Thomas Fredrick Griffiths and her brother Darlynn Griffiths (Glena) and sister Patricia Davies (Jeff).
She is survived by her husband David Erickson, her 5 children, Jordan Erickson (Codee), Chealsy Barton (Christopher), Kierstin Wilkey (Jacob), Joshua Erickson, TonyaMarie Erickson and her 6 grandchildren Gavin (16), Degan (13), Chloe (9), Tederic (6), Teya (6) and Kaidence (18 months), step-mother Joan Griffiths, sister Debbie Denovellis (Scott) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A very saintly lady, a true friend, and a lot of fun to be around. She will be missed.
I will always think of Cheri every Christmas when I put out the beautiful crocheted tree she made for me. I will cherish it and the memories of her kind heart and the love she had for her family. I look forward to seeing her someday. She left her mortal husk behind, but she will be in our heart-memories forever.

So sorry for the loss of this sweet lady. Such a great neighbor growing up. She was too young, I’m so sorry and pray for your family to find comfort in your eternal blessings.
Dear David and Family,
We are so sorry and saddened over the loss of sweet Cheri. I have so many memories to cherish of her…..women’s retreats, same birthday month, court of honors for our boys, super Saturdays our love for Elvis movies and many more. She was a light in our lives that will be missed!
Our thoughts and prayers are with all if you.
Love Phyllis and family
I will always remember you in beautiful dresses, with bouncy curls and full of sweetness. You are a beautiful example to all. You will be missed here.
Oh Cheri we will miss you so much. To the family, please know that you are loved. The Lord is aware of you and is there to comfort you all. We love you all.
Sweet friend you will be missed so very very much. Even though we went years between visits, it was always like it was days. You and Genny made my life bearable when we moved to Kearns. I love you and I will miss you.
