In Loving Memory of Chanz Dallas Wilcox.

Chanz Dallas Wilcox passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the age of 29.

Chanz was born on June 27, 1997, in St. George, Utah, to Ricky Wilcox and Haven Olds Wilcox. He graduated from high school in 2015 and immediately entered the workforce. Chanz was a heavy equipment operator who truly loved what he did—he often said he loved “playing in the dirt.”

Chanz was the proud father of his son, Trayson Chanz Wilcox, and his daughter, Phoebe Mitchell. He is also survived by his siblings: Elly Arellano; Brodie Wilcox and his wife, Alexa; Benjivina Wilcox Beck and her husband, Jonathan; Kole Wilcox; and Brilynn Wilcox. He is lovingly remembered by his grandparents, Steve and Janteen Hartman Olds, Judy Davis Barton, and Richard and Barbra Wilcox. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who loved him deeply. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frank Angelo Barton; his aunt, Katrina Olds Navarro; the mother of his son, Kaitlyn Anderson; and his baby cousin, Angelo Paul Lutui.

As a young adult, Chanz experienced more hardships than victories. But over the last two years of his life, he worked tirelessly to overcome every obstacle placed before him. With the guidance and support of Terence and Gabrielle Wilcox, Tony and Natalie Graves and their sons, Todd and Keith, Chanz was rebuilding his life and creating a brighter future. Keith and Chanz shared a friendship that was inseparable. Chanz had always loved bikes—whether they had an engine or not—but after meeting Keith, everything had to be bigger, faster, and louder. Together, they spent countless hours in the garage working on vehicles, laughing, and making memories. An adrenaline junkie at heart, Chanz lived life with fearless enthusiasm. From doing backflips off buildings to mastering jumps at the skate park, he was always chasing adventure and rarely turned down an opportunity for excitement.

He had an incredible sense of humor, a magnetic personality, and a way of making friends wherever he went. He surrounded himself with good people, and in return, he was deeply loved by so many. To those who knew him best, he was affectionately known as “Handsome Chanzome.” The nickname fit him perfectly—not only because of his good looks, but because of the charm, kindness, and unforgettable personality that made him one of a kind.

Though his time with us was far too short, Chanz’s love for his family, his loyal friendships, and his determination to keep moving forward will remain an enduring part of his legacy. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
