Chad was born to Thomas and Patricia Smith in Albuquerque, NM June 13, 1969 into a family with four older siblings. He passed away on July 25, 2023 while resting at his loving sister's home in Layton, Utah. Chad was was raised in a happy family and adored by his mother, father and siblings. When he was about 10 years old the family moved to Ramona, Ca. After graduating high school Chad worked at a custom cabinet shop for a time. As a young adult he moved to Buena Vista, Co. where he worked in construction. He later moved to Utah to be near, and help his widowed mother. In Utah, Chad had a variety of jobs which included concrete work, truck driving, and construction, where he was able to work with his brother. Chad also loved hunting, fishing, and spending time at the family cabin in Colorado.
Chad had an incredibly kind heart and would help just about anyone. He did many acts of kindness for those that had the least among us. He loved his family and had a tender soul. Chad had struggles and dealt with them the best he could. We are grateful he is now able to rest from earthly cares and that he is known and loved by his Heavenly Father. Chad was preceded in death by his mother and father and it is a comfort to know he is now happily reunited with them.

I was so sad to hear of the passing of Chad. He was such a sweet man and I'm glad to have known him. Mark you and Chad have done so much for me and I'm grateful that you included Chad in the reconstruction of my home. Chad was willing to do anything that needed to be done. He always went the extra mile and didn't quit until all the details were finished. Especially when he was painting or doing finishing touches. It had to be perfect before he was satisfied. He always had a smile and even on the days that I knew he was not feeling well, in pain or struggling, he didn't let that stop him. I'm in North Carolina and won't be back until September so sadly will miss the memorial but please know that my heart and prayers are with you and your family.
