Cecilia “CC” Ruby Chavez, 37 years old of Magna, Utah, was taken from her job as an earth side angel to be a heavenly angel on Friday, August 28, 2020.

CC was born on April 7, 1983 to Diane Sanchez and Anthony Chavez. She grew up to be an incredible woman with a beautiful smile and a heart of gold. CC lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed taking care of others. She had just begun her career at American Red Cross.

She was the brightest of lights and to know her was to love her. Although she was tiny, she was larger than life.

She is survived by her mother, Diane Gonzales; her father, Anthony (Renee) Chavez; step-dad, Rudy Gonzales; daughter, Jada Chavez; sister, Christina (Adnan) Pandur; brothers: Michael (Tawsha) Trujillo and Anthony (Marisol) Chavez; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She also had 11 nieces and nephews who loved her very much.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Memorial Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055 South State Street, Sandy. A viewing will be held two hours prior to funeral services. A celebration of life luncheon will be held after services at 3847 S Bridgton Circle, Magna, Utah. Services will also be Live-Streamed via Zoom.
