Cassandra (Mama Cass/Sandy) Mae Brizzi age 53 passed away on March 9, 2023. She was born on November 8, 1969, in Atlanta, Georgia to John A. Proffitt Sr. and Sue D. Ashley. She married the love of her life Brent Lee Brizzi on May 26, 1988.
Cassandra loved to cook, read science fiction, watch movies and TV programs, especially British comedies like Mrs. Brown’s Boys, and had a passion for attending live concerts. She often filled her days listening to and belting out music, even though she could not carry a tune and dance along to the beat.
Cassandra enjoyed going for long drives. Sometimes when coming home from work, she told Brent she wanted to go for a drive, even though both already had a full day, they often ended up somewhere they had never been before. She loved to go on adventures and going to amusement parks to ride rollercoasters. She was incredibly outgoing and had no trouble talking to strangers and made everyone feel welcomed and loved.
She is survived by her husband; Brent Brizzi, her mother-in-law; Pat Brizzi, her daughter; Amber Child (Thomas Hardy), her son; Michael Brizzi (Aubryna), and three grandchildren; Chloe Child, Deklyn Child, Ander Brizzi. She is also survived by her siblings; Christina DeMott (Richard), John Proffitt (Izabela), Carol Crofoot, Larry Ashley, and Cynthia Ashley.
She is preceded in death by her daughters; Tiana Brizzi and Michelle Brizzi, and her parents; Sue Ashley and John Proffitt Sr.
A Funeral Service for Cassandra will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the Woodview Ward located at 6175 Borax Avenue, Kearns, Utah 84118. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the same location. Interment Valley View Memorial Park.

Cassandra was the first one to say hi and welcome, with a huge smile, my first day at work. It was rare a smile was not on her face or hear her laughter across the department. She loved talking about her family, grandchildren and her husband. Her family was her purpose, fulfillment and happiness. She's left you all with so much love and memories to cherish. A loss of a parent, wife, grandmother, etc is unmeasurable. However, you all are not alone and neither is she. Cassandra is with her daughters and parents. Arms wrapped around them and looking down on all of you, with a huge smile on her face!!
