Carol Teresa Salazar-Garcia, age 61 passed away on June 11, 2022. She was born on July 28, 1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joe Salazar, and Sophie Manzanares. Carol married Ruben Duran Sr on December 25, 2011.
Carol loved to listen and dance to oldies, she enjoyed driving in the rain, and cooking.
Carol is survived by her loving husband Ruben Duran Sr, her beloved children Johnny Martinez, Angela Garcia, Jeffery Parkinson, and Ruben Duran Jr., She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren Jasmine Martinez, Johnny Martinez, Benny Penrod, Sofia Penrod, Steven Penrod, Zayvier Massiy, Jazzmyra Gomez, Colby Martinez, Alize Trujillo, Isaac Trujillo, Ryder Penrod, and Lucille Penrod. Carol was preceded in death her mother Sophie Manzanares, brothers, sisters, many aunts and uncles, as well as many cousins.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the McKinley Ward, 1883 South West Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held two hours prior to services beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment Utah Veterans Cemetery.
