Carol Louise Turner McCleery, age 71, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2021 in Taylorsville, Utah. She was born March 21, 1950 in Long Beach, California to Stephen and Maxine Turner. She married Terry McCleery on March 3, 1984.

Carol was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she held many callings throughout her years. Her favorite calling was nursery where she got to teach the little children. Carol loved babies and kids, she had a way with babies, and they loved her back. Carol was a homemaker most of her adult life where she spent her days making sure her family was taken care of. She did work some miscellaneous jobs being a nurse, sewing, and watching children. She raised two of her grandchildren, Krystal and Kevin, and helped take care of several other grandkids while their parents worked, she loved her grandkids more than anything. Carol also loved to cook and bake and made the best Sunday dinners.

Carol is survived by her husband Terry; her children, Karen, Amy (Cory), Kevin (Mary Jane), Kelly, Justin (Terah), Pat (Lisa), and Josh; mother, Audrey Fowles; siblings, John, Gene (Angela), Duff (Pam), Gary (Julie), Chad (Teresa), Alison (Thayne), Robyn (Bill), Stacey (Mike), Stephanie (John), Chris, Randy (Bobette), Sherrie (Greg), and Lisa; Many grandchildren (3 great-grandchildren), in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. She was followed closely in death by father Kenneth Fowles. She is preceded in death by her father Stephen, mother Maxine (when Carol was 4 yrs old), father and mother in-law LaMont and Barbara McCleery, son Brad Ashworth, daughter Holly Ashworth, brother in-law Randy McCleery, sister in-law Wendy McCleery, and many other loved ones.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Viewings will be on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and again on Thursday one hour prior to the service beginning at 9:00 AM all at the same location: Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.
