Carol Graham Burnhope was born in American Fork, Utah in her grandmother's home on April 8, 1938, to Gib "M" Graham and June LaVona Crystal. She grew up in Murray, Utah on a small family farm with her sister Barbara and brother Dennis. She attended schools in the area and graduated from Murray High School. In the summer between her junior and senior year she met her sweetheart, Kenneth Burnhope. Two years later they were married in the Salt Lake Temple on rainy May 10, 1957. They lived in Helper, Utah until November 1962 when they moved to Murray, Utah. In the spring of 1964, they bought and moved into the family home in the Murray/Holiday area where they raised their family of one son and three daughters. She lived in her home until her death.

Carol loved going to the temple, being with family, reading books and doing crafts. In her life she was an active member of "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints" where she held numerous callings in the Primary and Relief Society. She also belonged to the "Ladies of the Guard" which got her involved with the Festival of Trees, she was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and a book club.

Carol loved to travel with her family and friends, some of her favorite places were Alaska, Peru, Israel, Scotland-England, the Panama Canal and Church History Sites. Camping with family was always fun and enjoyable as she taught all of us the names of the wildflowers. Most of all she loved her family and made sure we all knew she loved us, that was important to her.

Carol lost her husband Kenny to cancer over 5 years ago, and valiantly carried on.

Carol had a short battle with cancer and faced it courageously. She passed away peacefully at her home on September 5,2022. Carol is preceded in death by her sweetheart Kenneth Burnhope, and her parents. Survived by her sister Barbara Solomon; brother, Dennis Graham; children, Cindy (Jeffrey) Nielson, Scott K (Stacy) Burnhope, Diann (Doug) Boyer, Denise (Colin) Bollschweiler; 9 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

Scott K. - It's been a long time. We went to OCS at Camp WIlliams together in the late 80s. Sorry to hear of the passing of your mom and your dad (COL Burnhope - our old boss in the Engineers) a few years ago too. Never met your mom, but I guess reading this recap of her life has given me the opportunity to re-connect. Hope all is well with you and your family. Many condolences, Tom.
