Butch Johnson, age 72, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022, in Weatherford, TX. Butch was born in Havre, Montana to Bruce A. Johnson and Doris A. Johnson. He was a semi-retired real estate broker, and Texas rancher. He never met a stranger and was a friend to all he met.
Butch thrived in the 40 years he spent building his commercial real estate business. He enjoyed saddling up and ranch riding best (like he and his father did for so many years). He was passionate about raising and showing cutting horses, being a rancher with healthy cattle and "making coastal hay while the sun shines", and hunting. He loved being a "country boy" with his wife of 30+ years always by his side. Most of all, he valued time with friends and family: his children, grandchildren, cousins, and in-laws.
In addition to his parents, Butch is preceded in death by his son, Beau Christopher Johnson; two sisters, Candye Miller and Weed Strauser; sister-in-law, Julie Strauser; and brother-in-law, Brent Olson.
Butch is survived by his loving wife, Wendy Johnson; son, Brandon (Brittany) Johnson; daughters, Roxanne (Quinn) Beal and Shari (Greg) Albertson; siblings: Jean (Evan) Skinner, Tony (Linda) Johnson, Dawn Olson, Marna (Randy) Moore, Melody (Scott) Olson, Marcia (Gary) Jensen, Scott Strauser, Bim (Janas) Strauser; grandchildren: Abby (Caleb); Melanie, Bridget, Ava, Colin, Iris, Ian, Vivian, Norah, Crew, and Anders, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
