Brian “Biff” Erick Burney
November 18, 1966 – September 10, 2026
Brian “Biff” Erick Burney passed away at 59 years old on September 10, 2026. Born and raised in San Diego, California, Biff moved to Sandy, Utah in 2013, where he continued to build a life filled with family, friendships, and a career he took great pride in.
Biff began working as a plumber at Nalco alongside his dad, starting with inventory at just 13 years old. Plumbing became his lifelong trade, and through years of hard work and dedication, he became a Master Plumber.
Biff loved spending time with his family, going to the movies with his son, Sage (Kiddo), playing his guitar & bowling.
In 2014, Biff was baptised into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, making life-long friends who dearly love him.
Biff is survived by his wife, Annette Burney; his son, Brian “Sage” Burney; his sister, Cheryl Johnston and her husband Rick; Debra Johnson and her husband Buddy; his brothers, Johnny Don Hathcoat, Jack Burney and his wife Maria; along with many beloved family members, friends, and coworkers.
He was preceded in death by his father, Brian “Biff” Frederick Burney; his mother, Maxine Jo Burney; and brother, Daniel Lane Burney & his wife Erma “Ala” Burney.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, October 10 at 4pm at the Banner Hill Ward 8945 South 1700 East Sandy, Utah 84093.
