1954 - 2022

Our loving husband, father and grandfather, Brian Charles Buxton passed away on the

afternoon of Friday, September 23, 2022 in Salt Lake City, Utah surrounded by his loving wife

and all of his children.

Brian was born June 7, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah to wonderful parents, Burt and Norma

Buxton. He was the youngest of four children. He attended East High School and the

University of Utah. His love of music led him to play several instruments incredibly well

including the piano and drums. Brian was a member of the LDS church and served a mission in

the southern United States where he met the love of his life, Billie Renee Lloyd. They were

married May 13, 1978 and were sealed in the Washington, D.C. temple.

Brian and Billie settled in Montgomery, Alabama to raise their four children. His 13 years living

in Alabama were the best of his life. While living in the south he developed a great affinity for

southern bbq, family trips to Panama City beach in Florida and Auburn football.

In 1989, Brian and his family relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah. He always prioritized spending

time with family and enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and Laguna Beach with his sweetheart. He also

spent countless hours cheering on his children, and then his grandchildren, in their various

sports and activities.

Brian loved his long career in the life insurance business and enjoyed working for Memorial

Mortuaries and Cemeteries. He had the best clients in the world and felt it an honor to work with each of them.

Brian is survived by his loving wife Billie, his children, Angela (Jamie) Fletcher, Christie (Pat)

Jamison, Jeff (Kate) Buxton, Kim (Keith) Shepro and 14 grandchildren who he adored. He is

also survived by his brothers Tom (Gladys) Buxton, Jon Buxton, his sister, Christina Nilson and

many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
