Brewster (Bruce) Fisher Madison

1925 ~ 2011

Bruce Madison, 86, passed away on September 12, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born on July 28, 1925 in Hancock, Michigan to William Alman Madison Jr. and Augusta Prince.

During his childhood he like racing bikes. He said he once crashed is bike and got knocked unconsceice. This was the reason he lost his hair at an early age. Looking at my brothers, I don't thing that was the cause.

While attending West High, he joined the US Navy. He was stationed on a small Pacific island during WWII. After the war he finished his service in the Philipine doing construction projects.

He married Betty Jean Thayne on January 21, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

They had 3 boys. Larry, Gary and adopted me 16 years later. Which I'm extremmly grateful for.

Bruce retired from UTA as a bus driver and previously worked for Meadow Gold Dairy.

He was an active member of the LDS Church.

Survived by his children, Larry (Janet), Gary (Brenda), William (Dana); 15 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, wife and great granddaughter, Chelsea.

Our family would like to express our thanks and graditude to the caregivers at Millcreek Assisted Living and Access Home Health.
