Our beloved Bonnie courageously finished her earthly journey on December 14, 2023 at her home in Riverton, Utah surrounded by her family who loved her dearly. Bonnie Lou Jones Petersen was born on April 4, 1942 in Park City, Utah to Ray and Jessie Mae Reseigh Jones.

After graduating from Jordan High School Bonnie married her eternal sweetheart Robert L Petersen on June 9, 1961in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with 3 children Robert LeGrant (Laurie) Petersen, Russell (Brenda) Petersen, Shauna (David) Henriod. One of Bonnie's greatest joys in her life was her 11 grandchildren and 16 great­ grandchildren. She loved watching them grow up and spent a lot of time attending their music, sports, dance, graduations, and other special events.

Bonnie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter­ Day Saints where she served faithfully in many ward and stake callings. Bonnie, along with her husband, served a mission to the Palmyra New York Temple in 2005. She valiantly served for 21 years as an ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple.

Bonnie retired after a 32-year career with the Jordan School District. Bonnie was a talented seamstress, loved to read and watch a good murder mystery, travel, and spending time with family at their property in Fairview, Utah.

Survived by her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Joan Courville, Betty Williams, brothers Richard, Don, and Jack Jones. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Jessie Jones, sister Carole Taylor, brother William Jones.

Her family would like to add a personal thank you to all her caregivers at lntermountain Health, Encompass Rehabilitation, and Symbii Hospice, especially Dr. Dressen, nurse Joan, and Misty.

A viewing will be held Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 South 2200 West, Riverton, Utah. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM with a viewing one hour prior from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 12459 South Dansie Way, Riverton, Utah.
