Bobby Lee Pearson

Jul 26, 1937 Jan 30, 2021

Bobby Lee Pearson, age 83, passed away surrounded by family on January 30, 2021, in South Jordan, Utah. He was born on July 26, 1937, to Robert “Ollie” Lee and Opal Pearson in Phoenix, Arizona. He married LeOra Badger on Dec 14, 1957, who passed away November Nov 12, 2003. He married Dianna Elaine Lierley on April 9, 2005, in Reno, Nevada.

Bobby was a true patriot who joined the Air Force in 1956, and graduated first in his class at Crypto School at Scott AFB. He was honorably discharged in 1960 after working at McClellan AFB, Harmon AFB and the Pentagon. He went on to work in the communications industry for the next 40 years and retired as a Regional Manager at Charter Communications.

Bobby Lee was a beloved husband, father and grandfather to his first wife Le Ora and their six children and his second wife Dianna, and her three children and all of their families. His tender-hearted ways perfectly balanced his approachable manner and open, direct outlook with a quick humor that colored every day with joy.

Bobby joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1959 when he was around 23 years old. After retirement, he enjoyed fixing things, building things, and painting gnomes in his well-designed and orderly garage workshop. Bobby was known for being an avid reader! He loved the scriptures most of all along with church history books. A couple of his favorite authors were Louis Lamour, Web Griffin, James Patterson, and more. He was known for feeding others well with his perfectly constructed artisan sandwiches and freshly made salsa and guac. One tradition he passed on was making delicious homemade “fresh snow” vanilla ice cream. He would often be watching NCIS with a tall glass of cold milk or enjoying a bowl of vanilla ice cream.

Bobby is survived by his spouse, Dianna Elaine Lierley; his children, Robert Lloyd (Dee Ann), John Bradley (Esther Antonia), Michael (Ladda Khamnatee), Beverly Joy (Benjamin Reynolds Morris), Carl Dee (Kalani Jo), Sharon Elise (Robert Timone), Anja Lea, Malynn (John Milton Beck II.), and Kimberly Ann (Benjamin Harold Layman); his grandchildren, Thomas Joseph Lee, Bradley John Pearson (Yue), Talena, Potte Khamnatee, Captain Khamnatee, Daniel Joseph, Shannyn Grace, Elizabeth Erin, Leora Michelle, Felicity Beck, Lola May, Lea Marie Peterson, Courtney Beck, Adam Brant Bushman (Julie Ann), Jonathan Thomas Beck (Madison), Jarron Virgil Bushman (Kamie Kamassa Faye), and B. Ryan Bushman; his great-grandchildren, Theadora, Samuel Emmett Sawyer, Mia Becerril, and Jesse Virgil Bushman; and his brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Marie Pearson.

He is preceded in Death by his parents, Robert “Ollie” Lee Pearson and Opal Beverly and his wife, LeOra Badger.
