I have so many good memories with my grandma. She did the funniest Donald Duck voice and sang funny little songs. She babysat me before school when I was little and she’d give me special treats to bring on the bus. She’d color with me and my sister and we’d watch Disney movies and play in the kitchen, making things from her junk drawer. She took us to the cabin and let us fill her vases and jars with wildflowers and weeds we picked, and we’d play old board games together. We’d go on walks to the pond, or to Peggy’s or Dots, or help her hang sheets on the line. When my parents divorced I lived at her house every other weekend and on Mondays, and for half the Summer. I lived with her for part of high school as well. We watched so many Lifetime movies, the Golden Girls, and Unsolved Mysteries. She did crossword puzzles while we did homework. On Sundays she made the most delicious Roast. She was amazing and I always felt safe and loved with her, in contrast to other things going on in my childhood. When I had my own kids she was just as amazing with them and was always so happy to see us. Her capacity to love and care for others was incredible and she exuded such a warm and kind energy that I just loved being around. I miss her so very much. I will treasure our memories together for the rest of my life. I love you Grandma!

My gorgeous, radiant, and hilarious grandma, I'll miss you so much! She was so funny, LOVED to laugh and share a laugh with others, she was generous and caring. She gave so much of her time to helping care for my siblings and I growing up. She affectionately called us "little shits" and Allshley when she forgot which one of us she was talking to and it always made us laugh. She never learned to drive but still led such a full life with the many friends she made over the years. She sang loudly while she cooked, made the best roast and the worst ketchup meatloaf. She LOVED Christmas lights and was always in awe of them. She'd yell to us whenever "little house" was on and stayed up late to watch golden girls and David letterman together. She was the real life Sophia Patrillo. She was magical and I'll love her and miss her forever.

It was an honor to have spend time with Aunt Bev, my mother's only sister. Her wit and joy made for a lovely experience. Sending much love and healing to those who loved her so and are hurting at this time.
