Bert Dean Mathews

Our Beloved Husband, Brother and Friend, Bert Dean Mathews, has ended his courageous battle with his life long illness.

Born in 1954, he fought valiantly for more years than expected and passed peacefully at his Taylorsville, Utah home, Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021.

He loved the outdoors and nature and fished and hunted while he was able.

He also loved cars but most of all he loved his family and friends, whether near or far, long-time or new.

He is proceeded by his parents Bert G Mathews, Sr. and Shirley LeBreton Mathews and his younger brother Paul D. Mathews.

He is survived by his wife Beverly J Mathews, his older brothers Robert Day and Ron Day and his nieces Jessica Mathews and Tara Mathews. As well as many many friends.

We shall all miss his kind and loving spirit as well as his humor and wit.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 2 pm at the Memorial Mountain View Mortuary and Cemetery, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah, 84121. If you attend, please wear a mask and observe social distancing requirements. If you would like, you may join the service via zoom, by following the instructions below.
