Our loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Barbara passed away from natural causes on July 6, 2022.

She was born in Bingham Canyon, Utah. She graduated from Bingham High School and was loyal miner. She was born to George Angus Abplanalp and Pamela Hone. She married her high school sweetheart Max Charles Ivie. They were married on April 14, 1956 and sealed in the South Jordan Temple. They had three children.

Mom loved the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was called to serve as Stake Missionary. She taught varies classes. She loved reading and studying the scriptures. She loved to serve those in her ward, family. She volunteered at local hospital for many years. She worked for the telephone company and Murray School District until she retired. She loved the outdoors, camping, archery & traveling, self-taught artist and she even learned to play golf with our dad and being with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children: Pamela Kathy Holt (John) Tyler, TX. George Brent Ivie (Debbie) South Jordan, UT. Robyn Leigh Hinderman (Randy) South Jordan, UT. She had 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. brother David Dale (Diane) and many nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by husband Max Charles Ivie, parents, brothers, George Howard, Russel “Willie”, sisters Doris “Jo” Rosalin, and Pamela Linda.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday July 13, 2022 at 10:30 at the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery 6500 S. Redwood Rd. Family and friends are welcome to come.

Grandma Ivie will be missed, she was a great artist. Blessed her artistic abilities were passed down to her great-granddaughter. Many memories of the time we were all able to spend time together.
