Annamae (Ann) Read Lo Forte, known lovingly a Mom, Grandma, Auntie Ann.

Born in Ogden Utah, Saturday, 23 Nov 1928 – Saturday, 19 Dec 2020, Orem, Utah.

Preceded in death by all her siblings: Willard, Arnold, William (Bill), Ethelene (Tina),and Larry; and by her loved daughter Robin Ann. Survived by sons Mark and Vic and over 50 loved descendants and family in California and Utah. She also has many cousins, nephews, and nieces in Utah and through her siblings. She set an example of ‘trying to be like Jesus’ throughout her life. She was always thinking of others and would go out of her way to help make a better way for them. In spite of her trials in life, she always expressed gratitude for her blessings. She dedicated much of her life to caring for her grand-kids.

She moved from Ogden to Sacramento California when she was 8 years old, attended Grant Union high school in Del Paso Heights, and worked as a document courier at McClellan Field. She loved the Savior Jesus Christ and was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many positions, including In-service Trainer, Teacher’s Development instructor, Cub Scout Den Mother, Young Women instructor, Primary teacher, and Sunday school teacher. She worked for many years as office manager for Dr. Clarence Jensen, DC, and later for Dr. Richard Alvarez, DC. She was secretary at American Legacy School. She loved animals. She loved opportunities to sing in church choirs and sang for a number of years in the Sacramento Valley Mormon Choir.

Her favorite position was secretary at the Sierra College Rocklin Institute of Religion of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The building was a portable and was referred to as ‘The Trailer’ pending completion of a permanent institute building. She served and loved the Latter-day Saint college students. She described her mission in life as ‘having a key to pass on’.

She was politically active in defending the U.S. Constitution and dedicated to protecting youth.

In early 2020 she returned to Utah due to health issues. She had several ‘bucket list’ goals: seeing her 92nd birthday, Thanksgiving, and especially her son Mark’s birthday. After that, she commented that she was ready to go and did not expect to see Christmas. She passed a week before Christmas, perhaps in her style to not interfere with the traditional season for celebrating the Savior’s birth.

She is loved and missed by all who knew her.
