Ann Marie Memmott Oldroyd passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 19, 2025. Ann was born on May 25, 1931, in Nephi, Utah to Cleon Lamar Memmott and Marion Hannah Pyper, the second of five children. She graduated from Juab High School and attended Brigham Young University where she was a Cougarette. She was sealed to Grant D (“Dee”) Oldroyd in the Manti Temple on October 2, 1950.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life. She volunteered on Temple Square for many years and enjoyed participating in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was an ardent community advocate to improve safety and quality of life. She loved reading and was the longest attending member of The Salt Lake Literary Art Guild.

Ann’s family was her highest priority. Although she always found ways to serve those around her, she consistently made time for her family to read, play a game, throw a ball or simply listen. She was her family’s greatest cheerleader supporting them in all their activities. Ann was a talented painter, swimmer, seamstress, gardener and cook. Ann and Dee loved to travel together and were fortunate to visit many beautiful and exotic places over the years.

She loved the Lord with all her heart, cherished the temple, and honored her covenants throughout her life. Her greatest joy was her family, and her greatest legacy is her posterity. She is survived by her children: Kery (Sue), Nanci Pickett (Scott), Lisa Pace (Lynn) and Matt (Jennifer); 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; siblings Mark Memmott (Liz) and Marjorie Kiggins (Warren); and sisters-in-law Doris and Loree Memmott. She was preceded in death by her husband Dee, daughter Susan, brothers Hal and Carl Memmott.

Viewings will be held at the Valley View 1st Ward building (3820 South and 2000 East) on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Monday, July 28, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
