Anita Louise Fowler Gleave of Magna, UT has been called home to our Heavenly Father on November 7, 2020. She was 88 years old.

Anita was an amazing, caring women who always had the best stories. She was born on February 16, 1932 in Orange, CA to Doralie and Claud Fowler. Against the odds, she married the man she loved Phillip (Phil) Gleave on July 22, 1951. Together they had three of the most handsome sons, Christopher (Chris), Russell (Russ) and Darrell.

Anita loved to crochet and collect recipes. She was very active in her church parishes. Both in Richfield, UT and Magna, UT where she helped with the funeral committee, and led the rosary before mass. Anita was a firm believer in her faith, and it helped shape her life. She loved her family fiercely. Teaching her grandchildren valuable lessons and brightening up everyone’s day with hilarious stories about her life or the crazy things her kids did.

She will be dearly missed by those who survive her. Her brother Richard Fowler, sons Chris (Cyndy) and Darrell, twelve grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren

She is preceded in death by her husband Phil, son Russ, great-grandson Joshua, and daughter-in-law Starley.

Due to the pandemic restrictions, the rosary and mass will be restricted to family only. However, the funeral service will be live streamed via Zoom on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at 10:30 AM. The interment will take place on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 11:30 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. The interment is open to the general public and will be live streamed as well.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Our Lady of Lourdes building fund.

We love you Anita (Mom, Grandma). This isn’t goodbye forever, but so long until we see each other again.

For the better part of 4 decades we have been friends with the Gleave Family. What an amazing family and what an amazing legacy Anita leaves. It seems I was adopted into the family because of my friend ship with Sue Gleave (Bangerter). When time would allow me to attend daily Mass, it gave me the opportunity to catch up with Anita & I enjoyed every minute. She was a very special spirit and will be dearly missed!

Chris, Cyndy, Darrell and family...you are in our every thought and prayers during this most difficult time.

What a wonderful woman sweet Anita was. She had a special devotion to Our Blessed Mother and always spoke lovingly of family. Anita also had a great sense of wry humor. We will miss her warmth and charm. Love and blessings to all.
