Angela Marie Palmer

Apr 10, 1965 Jun 24, 2019

On Monday, June 24, 2019, Angela Palmer—loving wife, mother of five, mother-in-law of three, grandmother of four, dedicated daughter, and loyal friend—passed from this earth at the age of 54.

Angie was born in Ontario, Oregon, on April 10, 1965, to Harvey and Anna Jean Kindall. The first of four children, Angie was a spunky, fearless addition to the world who could take anything in stride. She was the type of person who could drop everything and move to China, get kicked in the ribs by a horse and walk it off, travel halfway across the world just to visit an old friend, and maintain a smile and a laugh through a brain tumor and chronic pain. Everyone who met her loved her, but none so much as her eternal companion, Jeffery Palmer. She and Jeff were married on May 31, 1985 (as close to June as Angie could get without being a run-of-the-mill June bride), and together they raised five children: Jefferson, Kindall, Jessica, Megan, and Jacob.

Angie was a renaissance woman in every sense of the word. Between cake decorating, quilting, riding horses, reading, starting a business with her husband, and designing fragrances, Angie somehow found time to create lasting friendships, make people laugh, listen deeply, and give wise, practical advice. Her barn humor (not to mention her barn language) belied her elegant exterior, and everyone who got to know her was happily surprised with her strong, down-to-earth spirit. With quiet kindness, Angie inspired those around her to do the right thing and be their best selves.

Nothing could stop her from riding her horses, including a broken sacrum and a knee replacement. She was passionate about almost everything she did, but she was happiest when she was on one of her many horses, foxtrotting through the mountains and exploring the world around her.

A viewing will be held on Friday, July 5, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Nelson Family Mortuary, 4780 N. University Ave., Provo. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 1316 South Main Street, Mapleton, Utah, at 11a.m. In lieu of flowers (because although she loved them, she was allergic), a memorial college fund is being set up in her name to keep Angie’s spirit and memories alive for generations to come. For donation information, please visit the Angela M. Palmer Memorial Endowed Scholarship page on UVU.com (https://www.uvu.edu/give/?dids=angela-palmer).
