Angela Kiezee Johnson

Oct 30, 1975 Jan 19, 2022

Angela Kiezee Howell Johnson, born October 30, 1975, passed away on January 19, 2022 at the hospital in Murray, Utah. She was a deeply loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Angela graduated from Rockland High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Utah State University. Angela married the love of her life, Matthew Johnson, who also passed away in 2016. She is survived by her three daughters; Annika (18), Sofia (16), and Rhya (11), her parents David Howell and Christina Ciammaichella, as well as her five siblings: Jill Howell Winn, Jon Howell, Arliss Howell Hawk, Liberty Howell Yates & Mark Howell.

Angela lived her life compassionately; serving others around her and sacrificing greatly so that others felt loved and cared about. Family meant most to Ang. As a young mother she would spend hours playing at the park, doing crafts, games and puzzles, planning epic birthday parties and finding the best opportunities for her precious daughters. She and Matt spent hours pushing swings, reading books, dancing joyfully silly dances and creating beautiful moments with their dearly loved children.

“Aunt Anna” took the role of Aunt seriously too. She took the time to make deep connections with her nieces and nephews and can often be found in pictures snuggling a baby, playing games with a toddler, or connecting with a loved niece or nephew.

Angela loved to travel and to share parts of the world and love of humanity and adventure with her children. She was a fluent Spanish speaker and shared that gift with her children from infancy. She lived and visited many places throughout the USA (Alaska being a favorite), across Europe (Sweden being especially close to her heart), Central America, and the Canary Islands. She prized education and understanding and sought to share those values with her girls throughout their travels together and in the way she lived her life and communicated with them.

Ang excelled at all she did and was quite brilliant. Whether it was running the 400m in track, being an elite gymnast, or an excellent violinist, she was highly motivated, capable and accomplished.

Some of Angela’s favorite times were family get-to-gethers, (that she often orchestrated) to pull everyone together. There was always lots of amazing food, sweet traditions, and lots of games and laughing. Ang had a great sense of humor and was young at heart. She was a Tetris master, a Pokemon Go fan, and all games and movies were more fun with her around.

Those that were privileged to know her best, loved her deeply. She was courageous, compassionate and deeply committed to her family and loved ones. She will be sorely missed. She left the world a better place for being in it.

A Memorial/Celebration of Life will be held on February 12, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at 2198 W Fox Trail Drive, Lehi Utah 84043.
