Allen Michael Stolp

Mar 11, 1983 Dec 3, 2022

Allen Michael Stolp, 39, of Taylorsville, Utah, passed away, Saturday December 3, 2022, at his home surrounded by his father, Mark Stolp and stepmom, Brenda Wilson Stolp. Allen was born in Phoenix, Arizona on March 11, 1983, to Mark and Nadine Stolp. He was the second of nine children and the eldest son. From an early age, his loving parents saw that he was not like other children. They took him to many specialists and was eventually diagnosed with cerebral palsy. After surgeries, physical therapy, and different medications, they learned that Allen’s condition was not going to improve. He lived a happy life in his bed with his beloved stuffed animals.

Even though he stayed in his bed all day, he was a huge part of the family. His bed was kept in the living room so that he could be in the middle of the fun. Allen wasn’t aware of the games being played, but he knew when something fun was happening. He would start bouncing and smiling. When he was really happy, he would start making his noises, sometimes very loudly! His siblings made a game of it and would mimic his noises. He was a very happy and upbeat person, and one could tell that he loved all that his life could offer him.

Allen had a special spirit about him that people were drawn toward. They knew they were standing in the presence of one of God’s warriors. He didn’t need to prove himself in this life by choosing right from wrong, for he had already proven his loyalty to God. His family knows, that because of Jesus Christ and His atonement, Allen will one day be resurrected and have a perfect body and mind.

Allen holds a very special place in all of our hearts. He never spoke a word, but his influence will be felt throughout generations. He lived a simple, yet meaningful life.

Allen is preceded in death by his mother, Nadine Ostler Stolp, who was his primary caregiver up until her passing. She has been waiting 15 years to be reunited with her baby. Also preceded in death is his half-brother, Calvin Dick.

He is survived by his father, Mark Stolp and his stepmother, Brenda Wilson Stolp who was Allen’s caregiver until his death. She gave 14 years of her life in service to Allen and cared for him as her own.

He is also survived by his sibling, Anne (Jimmy) Stevens of Sealy, Tx; Julia (Michael) Jensen of Katy, Tx; Leda (John) Harrington of Katy, Tx; Helen (Chris) Fox of Vineyard, Ut; Brian Stolp of Vineyard, Ut; Nathan (Meghan Case) Stolp of Houston, Tx; Steven Stolp of Orem, Ut; Valerie (Trevor) Dean of Provo, Ut and his step-siblings, David (Lisa Morrill) Hart of Taylorsville, Ut; Dawn (Brian) Larremore of Taylorsville, Ut; Jonathon (Collette Hathaway) Hart of Rexburg, Id; Allison Hart of Taylorsville, Ut; Steven Hart of Salt Lake City, Ut; Kevin Hart of West Valley City, Ut; Aaron Hart of West Valley City, Ut; Taylor (Jacey Reynolds) Hart of Draper, Ut.
