Mesquite, NV-Alex passed away peacefully on July 20th, 2023. He was born April 25th, 1935 to Paul Herbert Pahl and Johanne Elizabeth Franke Pahl. Alex married his sweetheart Wanda on July 27th, 1954.

Alex was born April 25, 1935 As young man he worked in the family business; Pahl's pawnshop. Then at the age of 21 years old he joined the Salt Lake City police department.

Alex loved his job as a police officer and excelled in the positions he held. He retired as a captain. During this time, he was selected to attend the FBI National academy. He also worked as a security officer for Auerbach's department store. As if he wasn't busy enough, he with two fellow police officers opened two "Taco Siesta" restaurants.

He loved to travel and camp. His favorite place was spending time with family at Simpson Springs, Utah and Niland California with his in laws.

Alex is survived by his wife Wanda; children Jean Pahl Johanson; James Pahl (Barbara); Cyndi (Dan) Ronnow; Carolyn (Dirk) Fisher; 25 grandchildren 42 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Douglas Herbert Pahl; daughters Vickie Pahl Fox, Suzanne Pahl, grandson Dustin Thomas and Mickey Fox.

Graveside services will be held on August 5th at 5pm at the Salt Lake City cemetery.
